Green smoothies have received a bad rap over the years. Those who love them, really love them – those who don’t really don’t, dare I say hate them? We associate the green smoothie with a bad tasting, over the top, mixed bag of ingredients drink that only the kale loving world can drink. Well, let’s dispel that image of the green smoothie once and for al. We have a delicious green smoothie that will become your go to smoothie of choice.
Ingredients – The Pink Layer
1 Frozen Banana
1 cup Frozen Strawberries (or fresh if your prefer)
1/2 cup Coconut Water (from canned coconut milk)
Ingredients – The Green Layer
1 cup Fresh Spinach
1 cup Frozen Banana
1/4 cup Pomegranate Arils
1/4 cup Coconut Water (from canned coconut milk)
Mix the pink layer ingredients in a blender until the desired consistency and pour into a glass or to add a little flare, a clean mason jar.
Mix the green layer ingredients in a blender until the desired consistency and slowly pour into the glass or mason jar on top of the pink layer.
